This Bill is no longer necessary, so at the request...at my request during the committee, we made this a shell Bill in case it could be used as a vehicle for funding the pensions. However, Senator Madigan already has a Bill in Conference and is his 9 148th Legislative Day STATE OF ILLINOIS 88TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TRANSCRIPTION DEBATE June 21, 1994 intent to use that Bill. So this Bill is no longer necessary. Right now as a shell Bill, I indicated to Representative Curran that we no longer needed it. If he wanted he could put it back in the...and put the original language in the Bill, if he so desired, because he was kind enough to let us use it as a possible vehicle. There is no Amendment for it right now, but as I indicated, Representative Curran might want to put the Bill back into its original form, which there was a complete agreement with."

"Well, I can appreciate the accommodation, especially in the pension arena; however, we still object to it, because I have not been...as a Minority Spokesperson, Ann Hughes, Ann has not been talked to about it either.
