Resolved by the Senate of the 92nd General Assembly of the State of Illinois, the House of Representatives concurring herein, that when the two Houses adjourn on Thursday, January 11, 2001, the Senate stands adjourned until Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at 11:30 a.m.; and the House of Representatives stands adjourned until Tuesday, January 30, 2001, at 1:00 p.m.; and when it adjourns on that day, it stands adjourned until Wednesday, January 31, 2001, at 11:30 a.m."
Speaker Madigan: "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the Adjournment Resolution, but please direct your attention to the dates contained in the Resolution because they constitute a change in the schedule. So, the schedule which was originally distributed provided that the House would return on January 24. The change provides that we will not be in Session on January 24, but we will return on January 30. Now again, the Session day for January 24, which was originally reflected on the schedule, has been cancelled. But there's a new day. The new day would be January 30, which would make that a three-day week, including the Governor's State of the State Address on January 31.
