Thank you, Mr. President, and Ladies and Gentlemen of the Senate, if I could have your attention for one brief moment. I'm joined today by two constituents and these constituents are students at Northwestern University and they are also recipients of MAP grants that help them with tuition assistance so that they can go to one of our premier universities here in the State of Illinois. You know, we've had this issue with MAP grants in the past where, because of budget deficits, we were not able to fund those MAP grants, but, you know, as I always point out, America is -- is nothing if it's not the land of opportunity. And when I look at these two fine young students and I think that we, the -- the government of Illinois and the taxpayers of Illinois, can help these students achieve their goals and attain a degree from Northwestern University, I think we might be doing something right. So would you please welcome me in joining {sic} Victoria Kondrak and Dash Gabryszewski, from the northwest side of the City of Chicago, and please give 'em a warm Senate welcome.
