I would like to welcome 14, 4-H members from across Illinois who are attending the University of Illinois Extension 4-H Legislative Connection event this week at the Capitol. These youth represent 12 different 4-H programs from counties touching our Wisconsin border to our Southmost counties and across the State, representing nearly 100,000 4-H participants in all 102 counties. These teens represent the Illinois 4-H Youth Leadership Team and 4-H members trained through the speaking for Illinois 4-H program. And they have been active in their local 4- H clubs and communities and community service projects and 4-H learning experiences that include STEM, Animal sciences, healthy living, civic engagement, and the creative arts.
