Mr. President, I'd like to introduce Rylee Monroe to the Illinois Senate. And she's here with her father, Loren. Rylee is 2  STATE OF ILLINOIS 104th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 16th Legislative Day 2/19/2025 a senior at Downers Grove South High School. I got the pleasure of watching Rylee play volleyball for many years. She was a teammate of my daughter's, both on Downers Grove South Mustangs, who won the Sectional this past year, as well as at Sports Performance Volleyball Club. She -- she and her father, Loren, are here on a very busy day, but I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce Rylee to the Senate. She plans on studying political science in college and is currently narrowing the list of where she's going to attend. So, if you could please join me in giving Rylee Monroe a very warm Senate welcome.

Thank you, Mr. President. It's always great when we can have district personnel down on the Floor with us here in Springfield. They only get to watch what we do typically on television. So, very happy to introduce Carolyn Schofield from my district office in West Dundee in St. Charles. Carolyn handles legislative issues for me in the -- in the office. Many of us -- many people know in this room that many of the best ideas come from our constituents. So, Carolyn has been, excellent at helping coordinate those efforts. She is very active in local politics. She served two terms on the McHenry County Board. She currently represents, McHenry County on the CMAP board in Chicago, and she's also a member of the McHenry County Mental Health Board. So, still a very active public servant. She actually lives in Senator Syverson's District. But we're not going to bring up map making. So, in any event, happy to have her on the Floor with us today. Please join me in giving her a warm welcome to Carolyn Schofield. Thank you.

Mr. President, I am directed to inform the Senate that the House of Representatives has adopted the following Joint Resolution on the adoption of which I am instructed to ask the concurrence of the Senate, to wit: House Joint Resolution 7, Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives, the 104th General Assembly of the State of Illinois. The Senate, concurring herein the two houses, shall convene the joint Session on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, at the hour of 12:00 noon, for the purpose of hearing His Excellency Governor J.B.
