I am sure Mr. President, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Senate, that everyone is aware that on March 2nd, when we left...there was an agreement of sorts between Senator Philip and myself that the first order of business, the Chair havinq ruled that the adoption cf the report of the Committee on Committees designating the members of the Standing Committees, which was submitted on March 1, would require a vote of thirty members. There was an agreement when we adjourned untll the fourteenth dag of March that that would in fact be the first order of business, and so pursuant to that agreement, would move you, Mr. President and Ladies and Gentlemen of the Senate, that the Committee on Committees report filed on March 1, 1989, settin: forth the chairman and members oi the Senate nineteen Standing Committees be approved, and would request a roll call.
