Purpose of announcement. Members of the Senate, you have on your desks a memo from me, concerning the Governor's Prayer Breakfast. Could I have your attention, please? The Governor's 3 STATE OP ILLINOIS 86th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 77th Legislative Day April 17, 1990 Prayer Breakfast will be on Thursday, May the 10th, at the Holiday Inn East, at seven-thirty in the morning. We have tickets reserved at different tables for the Members of the Legislature, provided you contact me before Thursday, May the 3rd, because after that we will turn them loose to the public. And the Speaker some of you have heard before - is Governor Ashcroft, the Governor of Missouri. The tickets are eight-fifty, and if you wîll please see me. If you are going to pay for it by check, make the check out to the Governor's Prayer Breakfast. If you are going to pay in cash, we'll make sure you get a receipt, if you want Please see me in the next few days, so we can have seats for you in the -- what we call the down-front tables. Secondly, al1 of you have an invitation on your desk and an apple - about Legislative Fitness Day. And as chairman of the Governorls Council on Hea1th and Fitness, I want to invite a1l of you to participate. This is sponsored by us and the Illinois Association -- Hea1th Physical Recreation Teachers' Association -- starts tomorrow morning. Now, you are goin: to take advantage of the cholesterol testing - please listen to this - if you 're going to take advantage of the cholesterol testing - which is free - we must have twelve-hour-fasting. So that means this evening, after you've had dinner, no other food. You can have some water in the mornkng , you can have coffee, provided it's black. There can be no cream or sugar in it and it starts at seven o 'clock tomorrow morning. We'll be looking forward to seeing you all. Well, before we went to caucus, Mr. President, I questioned a resolution or the motion that Senator Smith was making. Since I have found out that it is a congratulatory resolution, I obviously have no problem with taking immediate action on it.
