Thank you? President Rock, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Senate. Wedre honored today to have with us a special Israeli Youth Delegation. Tsrael has had a program in its Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Edueation since 1973, where they send young people around the world to the United States, Europe, and South America to promote cultural understanding and friendship amongst the nations. These teenage candidates come from a very broad section of ehe Israeli economy, and it's a interesting program for both its selection and preparation, and that which khey then do is they travel around the world. The Ministry solicits the principals from the high schools to pick people who have a general knowledge of Israeli history, their own ability to solve problems, and their ability ko relate to others. Theyîre about twenty-five to thirty selected for the prosram. We have two teens who were chosen to visit the Midwest this year - Chicagoe Springfield, Mllwaukee, Detroit, Indianapolisz St. Louisz and Minneapolis/st. Paul. And we have Joshua Fromkin, Who was born in neighboring -- Lafayette, Indiana, and then moved to Canada, and ultimately to Haifa in Israel. He is -- his stepfather is the public relations director for Ehe Arts School in Jerusalem. His older brother, of course, is in the Air Porce.
