Basically what it does is to request that the Governor and the Illinois Congressional Delegation be urged to request that the President and Congress move along with the appropriations from the Land and Water Conservatlon Fund to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. And this project is moving much rapidly much more rapidly than we had initially expected. And I would move for its adoption.

It calls for us to return to Springfield next Wednesday at the hour of noon , and I would just like to reemphasize that the intent of both the Speaker and myself, and the Minority Leader, was to have joint colnmittee hearings so that we can expedite the process . So that our -- from our side, Appropriations I and II will meet in joint -- in a joint effort with the House both on Monday , Tuesday, and Wednesday if necessary , for the purpose of coming to grips with this budget crisis; but I invite al1 Members to participate. He was elected from the west slde of the City of Chicago. And coming to the General Assembly, I got to know him quite well, and those issues that he fought for are stil1 issues that we still deal with today . He -- and he served with distinetion.
