Yes, we will have a death resolution and we Will pay appropriate homage to Mr. Howlett, you can be sure. Ladies and Gentlemen, if I can have your attention. I have discussed earlier today w1th Senator Philip the schedule for the week. Let me just apprise a11 of you so that there is no mistake. And everyone can plan accordingly. We have, as you know, a pretty heavy Appropriations Committee schedule this afternoon, and Senator Hall and Appropriations 11 Will meet tomorrow morning at nine, and they, too, have a fairly heavy schedule. So that when we adjourn very shortly here, Senator Carroll will announce his committee and its business this afternoon. We will go into Session tomorrcw at one o'clock. The committee meets at nine. I understand there is a celebrity luncheon on behalf of Mr. Colson , and I 've been asked to defer the Session, which certainly is in order. We will go int.o Session tomorrow at one o îclock. And tomorrow afternoon we will begin on the Calendarr going through bills. We have two hundred and eighty-five bills on the Calendar. We will begin the 4 STATE 0F ILLINOIS 87th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 100th Legislative Day May 5, 1992 process of moving those bills from 2nd to 3rd Reading, if indeed the sponsors wish them moved . There have been # I 'm told , a number of requests for f iscal notes that will have been filed . Committee amendments need not be duplicated ; but, if there are Floor amendments to be acted upon, I Would ask the Members, please , as a courtesy to the others , to have copies of those Floor amendments ready so that We can move with some dispatch . On Thursday , then , We will meet at nine o 'clock in the morning . We will meet at nine o 'clock in the morning . Senator Kelly will have an Executive Appointments Committee report# where We will advise and consent to certain of the Governor's nominees# and we will work until approximately noon on Thursday . And then We will have concluded our business for the week . I have been -- my office has been informed that the wake for Secretary Howlett will be Wednesday night and Thursday night on the north side of Chicago , and there will be a funeral mass on Friday . I do not yet have the time, but we will have al1 of that for you . Friday , at Holy Name Cathedral . Is it eleven o 'clock? All right . Eleven o 'clock on Friday at Holy Name Cathedral, and we will have the information available for everybody . But we -- Senator Carroll # have you been apprised of where the funeral home is? SENATOR CM ROLL : Blake-Lamb on Dearborn. PRESIDENT ROCK: Okay. Blake-Lamb on Dearborn. Right at Dearborn and just north of North Avenue . Okay . Everybody got -- on the same wavelength? We '11 -- when we conclude today , we '11 come back in at one o 'clock tomorrow . We '11 start on the Calendar tomorrow afternoon . Thursday we '11 come in at nine and work until noon , and then we will adjourn until next week Tuesday. And next week, by the way , we will be in Session on the Floor on -- and in committee on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Thursday night, the 5 i STATE OF ILLINOIS 87th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 100th Legislative Day May 5, 1992 fourteenth of May, I am told, there is a dinner in honor of the Republican Members, and so we will not be here on the fifteenth . We will conclude at a reasonable time on the fourteenth to accommodate those of you who have to travel north , and we will not be here on the fifteenth . All right, any further business , Madam Secretary? Any announcements? Senator Carroll.

SENATOR CARROLL

Thank you , Mr. President and Ladies and Gentlemen of the Senate . Just by way of announcement: The Appropriations I Committee will be at one o 'clock in Room 2l2. We Will also , however , since we will be hearing the Governor 's request for a supplemental appropriation - some of the subject matter would normally be included in Appropriations II - we would like to invite the Members of Appropriations II who Wish to question on the supplemental to join us, probably around 3:30. It will be the last bill we Will call in com ittee today . My guess is that will be around 3:30. So if any of the Appropriations 11 Members Wish to join us at that time, they'd be quite welcome.
