Shirley Duling has been with State government for the past twenty-nine years. She began four -- for -- first of all, she began with four years at the Secretary of State's Office. Then -- after Paul Powell, she reminds me. And then she went to work for the Illinois House, worked for Clarence Neff for ten years. And then, I was very fortunate to get her as my partner down here in Springfield for the past fifteen years. Now, Shirley Duling has a -- a -- a long and -- and good career here in State government. She has helped most of us, on both sides of the aisle, and -- with her wisdom and her -- her expertise and her help. She will remain -- for those of you who are Republicans, she will remain as Cass County Party Chairman, but she is retiring to enjoy her grandchildren more. For those of you who will be here Monday, we are having a retirement party for Shirley Duling at the Petroleum Marketers, between 5 and 7. Those who can't make it, please join us at -- in -- on the mezzanine immediately after Session. And just like to say, on a personal note, Shirley, I'm going to miss you. And I understand that some of our Members are -- are not on the Floor because there is a caucus going on, but I would want to acknowledge that one of our colleagues is having a birthday today, a very important birthday. It is Senator Donne Trotter's birthday. And actually he is fifty years old today. Last year he was -- a year ago today, he was only forty-six. He decided to run for Congress, and so he has already gained four years in the last year. But -- he's not on the Floor, but he -- we do have some cake for him down here, as is our tradition. So if anybody wants to grab a little cake on their way home, please do so. And let's congratulate Donne Trotter on his fiftieth birthday.
