Mr. President, joining us in the gallery today is the City of Pekin Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy, being led here by Executive Director Carol Shields. This Academy consists of various business leaders of Pekin, which is the county seat of Tazewell County. Would you join me in welcoming them to Springfield?
Would you please rise and be recognized by the Senate? Senator Demuzio, for what purpose do you rise?
On a point of personal privilege, Mr. President.
State your point, Senator.
Well, I -- I hate to -- I hate to follow Senator Shadid and his eloquent presentation; however, I'd like the record to reflect today that Senator O'Daniel is in the hospital down home, suffering from pneumonia. Apparently he has walking pneumonia. He was around here last week with it. And I don't expect him, probably, to be here this week. I spoke with him on the phone this morning. So I wish the record to reflect that.
The record will so indicate. Thank you. Committee Reports.
