And I'm ashamed at -- STATE OF ILLINOIS 91ST GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 94th Legislative Day April 4, 2000 to be part of this Body, that we're not even taking up an issue so important to the senior citizens of our State, on a bill that is as important as this. I think it's very important that we don't send them home today so that they have to answer all of us -- we don't want to have to go home and answer to our constituents that we didn't think they deserved a discount on their prescription drugs. How are you going to explain that you thought they should pay more, that we need to be paying less? So I think this is an important issue that we must take up today, and I would be very disappointed to have to go home to say I'm ashamed to be a part of this Body that we aren't discussing an issue that important.

This bill is intended to expedite child support enforcement proceedings.
