Good afternoon. Ladies and Gentlemen of the Senate, if I could have your attention for just a minute, please. Over the last couple of weeks, we've had a litany of teams from my district that have been coming forward to you. Again, if I could have your attention for just one minute, please. Thank you very much. I'm very pleased to have a group of ladies here with me today who have the honor of being the Class A State Cross Country Champions from the Winnebago school district. And I'd like for you to help me welcome them here today. Now, it's not only great that these ladies are here today because they're State champions this year, but as my football team that came down a couple of weeks ago, these are repeat champions from last year as well. That's -- Senator Noland, we know that you have a problem with that, since most of the time they beat people in your district. But we're very pleased that they're here with us today. These young ladies exemplify everything that being student athletes is all about: dedication, hard work. And if any of you have ever run cross country, or have had a relative or whatever that runs cross country, you know what I mean by dedication.
