A Message for the Governor by Joseph B. Handley, Deputy Chief of Staff for Legislative Affairs, July 6, 2004. Mr. President - The Governor directs me to lay before the Senate the following Message: To the Honorable Members of the Senate, 93rd General Assembly - Pursuant to 10 ILCS 5/1A-3, I have nominated the following named persons to the State Board of Elections and respectfully ask concurrence in and confirmation of these appointments of your Honorable Body. Rod Blagojevich, Governor. I have a second Message -- also dated July 6, 2004. Mr. President - The Governor directs me to lay before the Senate the following Message: To the Honorable Members of the Senate, 93rd General Assembly - I have nominated and appointed the following named persons to the offices enumerated below and respectfully ask concurrence in and confirmation of these appointments of your Honorable Body. Madam President, pursuant to Rule -- Senate Rule 7-17, I move to suspend Senate Rule 3-11(e) so that the following Messages from the Governor and a Message from the Treasurer can be posted for a meeting of the Executive Appointments Committee on Friday, July 9th, 2004, 8:30 a.m.: Governor’s Message dated January 15th, March 5th, May 6th, June 1st, June 9th, June 24th and -- June 25th, excuse me, and two Messages of July 6, all of 2004; and the Treasurer’s Message dated May 24th, 2004.
