Will the members of the Rules Committee kindly convene in the Antechamber? The Rules Committee members kindly convene in the Antechamber. We do recognize that today was an eventful day in Illinois with the dedication of the Lincoln Library and Museum and we do know that a lot of Members are scattered. Some may be at the Mansion for the luncheon being held by Governor -- Blagojevich. It was a -- a great event for our sixteenth President of the United States and that museum will be not only attraction for all -- all Illinois, but it’ll be attraction for the world. And it’s good for Springfield and I was -- I was pleased to have the opportunity to participate. I’ll take this liberty from the Chair. I was pleased to have the opportunity to participate in the -- in the funding mechanism so that that library could be -- be built. I -- the -- the person who had -- folks had talked about the library for years, but the person whom I worked with who had the foresight, the vision, the courage to get it done and that was the former Governor of this State, George Ryan. And George Ryan -- and my only disappointment at the ceremonies is, that he didn’t get his due credit for -- for - - from the Speaker of the House or the Congressmen whose district this is currently in. But I take the liberty to say that he was the one who put it all together to cause us to have that library in the State of Illinois. Due to the fact that we are coming in a little late, our committees who were scheduled for 2 o'clock will not meet at 2 -- I mean at 1 o'clock will not meet at 2, but the Education Committee will convene at 2 p.m. The Insurance Committee will convene at 2 p.m. Local Government will convene 6 STATE OF ILLINOIS 94th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 32nd Legislative Day 4/19/2005 at 2 p.m. Judiciary will convene at 3:30.
