Mr. President, it’s a great pleasure and honor for me to introduce a young man who -- is graduating from ISU and I’d like to introduce to all the Senators 1 STATE OF ILLINOIS 94th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 35th Legislative Day 5/3/2005 a young man named James “Boomer” Grigsby and his family. He’s from Canton, Illinois, which happens to be in my district. And I’m very proud and pleased of that. For those of you who don’t know, Boomer was the second pick of the fifth round of the NFL draft for the Kansas City Chiefs. And joining Boomer today are his parents, Dave and Paula Grigsby; his grandparents, Joann and Jack Waughtel and Betty Grigsby; and his sister and brother-in- law, Jim and Jenni Grigsby-Rogal. Which I’m sure you know Jim Rogal, Mr. President. He works for you on your staff. Boomer’s going to be graduating from Illinois State University, where he played football and played it well for the ISU Redbirds. It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to Boomer Grigsby. And if you would, please look on your desk where we gave you a handout on some literature publicity for Boomer. So, how about a big hand from the State Senate?
