All right. It is my pleasure today to have the opportunity to introduce to the Members of our General Assembly the Lady Hiltoppers from Hillsboro, Illinois. The Lady Hiltoppers are the Class A -- State Champions of our -- of our State, and I think we should give them a great big round of applause. The Lady Hiltoppers won the IHSA back on Saturday, February the 25th, at ISU at -- by defeating Okawville by forty-four to forty-three. Okay. The Lady Hiltoppers finished the season with an impressive winning record of thirty-one and four, and it was highlighted by both Regional, Sectional, Super-Sectional and Semifinal State Tournament victories. The Lady -- Hiltoppers championship victory is the first girls sport State title in school history and the -- and only the second State title overall with the last one being in 1914. So there -- it -- they are quite an impressive team. They’re juniors and many of them are juniors so they’re -- they will be returning next year for another wonderful season and I -- it is my pleasure to be their representative here in the General Assembly. And let’s give ‘em a great big hand for our State champions. Thank you.

House Bill 4315 amends the Solicitation for Charity Act to modify the definition of professional solicitor to include persons employed or retained by professional fundraisers for compensation to receive or collect charitable contributions. It requires every professional fundraiser to file a statement with the Attorney General for every vehicle, boat or motorcycle sold, collected or resold. And this information must include the VIN for each vehicle received, the fees collected for the vehicle and the resale value of the vehicle. This is an initiative of the Attorney General and I would ask for an Aye vote.

The State currently recognizes twenty-eight commemorative dates. These dates are occasions of honor, -- commemorate and celebrate notable events, causes -- causes and individuals. Born in Cedarville, Illinois, on September 6th, 1860, Jane Addams graduated from -- Rockford College in 1882. She founded the world famous social settlement Hull-House on Chicago’s Near West Side in 1889. At Hull-House, Addam’s built her reputation as one of the country’s most prominent women through her writing, her settlement work and her international efforts for world peace. December 10 is the date chosen to honor Addams because it was on this day in 1931 that she became the first American woman to win the Nobel -- Peace Prize, and I ask for a favorable vote.
