So I just want to state to Senator John Sullivan that these anecdotes seem shocking and untrue, but they are actually fact if I say them.

This involves -- it's an initiative of an Illinois domiciled mutual insurance company that is converting to a stock-owned company pursuant to the Illinois Conversion Act. However, the sixty-day notice period 5 STATE OF ILLINOIS 98th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 90th Legislative Day 2/27/2014 causes a hardship with the shareholders because of a conflict with the -- the IRS. They are required to tie up their money longer and the sixty-day waiting period clouds the validity of the company's financial statements, which are based upon filing with the SEC, and we -- this bill would -- would shorten that period of time to thirty days following the notice of a meeting that notice would go to the members. There's no opposition to the bill.

This bill is designed to prohibit public disclosure of a person's private photos or videos on the Internet with {sic} the consent of that person. The bill provides exemptions for telecommunication providers and the news media. And I'll answer any questions.

Thank you, Mr. President and Members. Senate Bill 2747 creates the School Security and Standards Task Force. This is the same bill that we passed last year, which was SB 1931 that passed unanimously. We needed to add four members to that, appointed by 7 STATE OF ILLINOIS 98th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 90th Legislative Day 2/27/2014 each of the four Legislative Leaders, and also extend the date to January 2015. It's a vitally important program designed after the Court Securities and Standards Committee that I served on and was appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court back in the late eighties, early nineties. It was quite a successful program. And this will afford us the opportunity to protect our children in our school buildings through this task force.
