They're in sixth grade at Lincoln Prairie School, a rare K through 8 public school that is trying some innovation in that district. They're both interested in gymnastics, ice skating and swimming, and have a number of different hobbies. Senate Bill 2658 allows motor fuel tax funds allotted to municipalities to be used for not just the removal of ash -- emerald ash borer-infected trees, but also for the treatment of it. It's a initiative of the City of Naperville. This allows municipalities to treat emerald ash borer- infected trees in the right-of-way under certain limited criteria. This is criteria that we took from the Department of Transportation. I want to thank staff on both sides for the work they did on this bill. And I ask for a Yes vote.

It amends the Environmental Protection Act to provide stricter oversight of large used tire facilities, requiring used tire storage facilities with more than ten thousand used tires, or at which more than five hundred tons of used tires are processed in a calendar year, to secure a solid waste permit from the IEPA to operate in the State. It also authorizes the Attorney General's Office or a State's Attorney to seek injunctive relief against such facilities in Illinois if they are not in compliance with established financial assurance requirements adopted by the Illinois Pollution Control Board. This bill contains no new taxes or fees or increased taxes or fees. The current one-hundred-dollar annual fee will still apply.

As amended, it would make loans through a linked deposit program to furnish financial assistance through private lenders for eligible non- point source pollution control projects.

This Body passed the legislation unanimously, and it got held up over in the House. What it does is, in many areas that -- as development occurred, there were roads that were never dedicated to any governmental entity. They were not private roads, but they were not dedicated. This permits townships to use fifty percent of the taxes they collect for those subdivision roads and use it to maintain them. Be happy to answer any questions.

The State Board of Education could waive this, as I understand this, but has not. This bill, I wish I didn’t have to present, but it's an attempt to break the bureaucratic logjam and allow more students to be served. This is a rewording of the current statute regarding court- ordered HIV testing for criminals in which force or threat of force was -- compelled the victim to engage in sexual activity. The bill grants commercial and industrial properties which are used and occupied by a small business a reduced valuation for a period of fifteen years. The bill is similar in spirit to Senator Forby's natural disaster homestead exemption, which we passed a couple years ago. The bill's concept is at the request of the Champaign County Board and result of tornadoes which destroyed small businesses and property in the town of Gifford, Illinois, along with the town of Washington and other towns in the State of Illinois, last November. Sure. The idea is similar to when that tornado went through Harrisburg a couple years ago, and there were people who were looking at rebuilding their properties and they found that their property values would escalate dramatically. And some people were saying, "I don't want to rebuild because I can't afford those property taxes." This is similar to businesses that have been in business - family businesses - for fifty years, and it's saying that we're going to increase their property values, property taxes, by four percent a year up to fifteen years before they come back in. It's a way of easing them back into and encourage redevelopment in the town of Gifford.

Makes zero sense at all. It comes out of a Moultrie County case and it was brought to me by the Moultrie County State's Attorney. And it just simply corrects what I believe was a -- was a very bizarre oversight by the General Assembly. Thank you.
