Thank you, Mr. President. Ladies and Gentlemen of the Chamber, this is a special day for me. I have my two most important constituents in all my Senate district happen to be visiting on the same day. They happen also to be the two most important people in my life, that is, my two boys. The one closest to me here is my oldest, Jonathan. He is a second year at the United States Military Academy at West Point. The baby, and the tallest one, is Benjamin. He is in his first year of a five-year program at Eastern Illinois University, with a dual major of physics and engineering. So if you would be so kind as to give them a warm Senate welcome, Mr. President. Thank you.

Thank you. Ladies and Gentlemen, I have some very special guests with me here today. They're up in the gallery, above -- above us over here on the -- our side of the aisle. If you'll all stand up. These are residents of the Charles Place. It's a senior living facility in my hometown of Rushville. These folks are from Schuyler County. They're under the, somebody said, the supervision of Linda Smart. They mentioned something about a correctional facility, but I think they were mistaken. But, no, this is a wonderful group of seniors from my district. I'm so thrilled to have 'em here today. And I would hope everybody would join in welcoming them to the Illinois Senate.
