PRESIDING OFFICER: (SENATOR LIGHTFORD) 6 STATE OF ILLINOIS 99th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 84th Legislative Day 3/1/2016 Ladies and Gentlemen of the Senate, Senator Barick {sic} to introduce the President of the FFA. Senator Barickman.

Jason A. Barickman (R)

Good afternoon and thank you for your attention here. I'd like to introduce to you, Kade Hill, who's a constituent of mine from Paxton, Illinois, and is serving as the 2015-2016 Illinois FFA State President. Just a couple things: First of all, the unique opportunity I've had in my brief few years here in the Senate to represent those who have grown to serve as State Presidents. I think Kade is the second or third constituent of mine who's now served as the State FFA President - and I myself, an alum of FFA, like I'm sure some of my colleagues here are as well. Kade is a 2015 graduate of Paxton-Buckley-Loda, which we call PBL, High School, and was a member of the PBL FFA chapter. His advisors, by the way, are Mike White and Doug Anderson. And like many of our FFAers, I think Kade speaks to the experiences he's had in FFA and serving in FFA making him the person that he is today. He serves as the State President, a one-year term. And after Kade's year of service, he hopes to begin his freshman year at the University of Illinois, majoring in agricultural -- or, Agriculture Science Education, with a goal to graduate with a teaching degree and someday teach high school agriculture classes. So I ask you to join me in welcoming Kade Hill. 2015-2016 ILLINOIS FFA STATE PRESIDENT KADE HILL: (Remarks by 2015-2016 Illinois FFA State President Kade Hill)
