The intent of the Bill is to prohibit marketers from falsely encouraging patients and families to seek addiction treatment and other treatment outside of Illinois for alcohol, heroin, and other drug addiction or mental health treatment. It prohibits health care workers from profiting from these referrals. And it had no opposition in committee.
