It amends the vehicle code concerning two special, excuse me concerning special permits for vehicles that exceed maximum weight restrictions in two ways. It allows civilian truck weighing inspectors, CWIs, who are non-police officer employees in the Department of State appointed by a director to issue citations as a critical piece. And in the law, it allows for an enforced provision related to width, height, low gross weight, and registration of permit. However, a CWI must call a state trooper to write a ticket for violation for a special permit, so we're not giving away police powers. It was all about safety on our roads. I request your support."
