He owns and operates 29 McDonald's restaurants. Lincoln's ChalleNGe is a site where 15 and half to 18-year-old boys and girls can attend to earn their GED or credit recovery. It is sponsored by the Illinois National Guard. The flights will leave from the… from the Springfield airport at 8:00, that's 0800 hours. You need to arrive there no… or no later than 0715 to get an inflight brief and safety briefing. We will return back to Springfield at 11:15, and from there then you'll be able to get you back in your POV and head back to the Capitol here. There is no… there are some restrictions of course, clothing restrictions. You want to wear comfortable pants, comfortable shirt. "Representative, on page 10 of your Bill, there's some new language being added to the Vehicle Code that relates to the suspension of drivers' licenses for certain cannabis violations, specifically for a person under 21 years of age possessing cannabis in a motor vehicle and for a person under 21 using a fake ID to obtain access to cannabis. It's my understanding that the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act already authorizes license suspension for these reasons. Can you please explain why it's necessary to add this language to the Vehicle Code?"
"Sure. Adding cross references to these existing provisions of the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act is the Section of the Vehicle Code will assist the Secretary of State's Office in implementing license suspension laws previously passed by the Legislature. It will facilitate the process of adding codes within the Secretary of State's computer system that correspond to these additional grounds for license suspension relating to cannabis violations."

When the Secretary of State's Office suspends someone's driver's license because of one of these cannabis violations, do you know whether that happens at the time they are charged or issued a citation or does the suspension occur after the individual has actually been found guilty of the violation?"

What's the scope of the similar offenses in the other states that you're referring to here and that you're including?"
"As long as they are actions that are criminalized in this state."
"Well, right. But can you identify for us what some of those are? In Section 6-301, 6-301.1, 6-301.2, or Section 14, 14A, or 14B of the Illinois ID Card Act."

You're saying here that a person shall be disqualified from operating a commercial motor vehicle for life if that individual uses a commercial motor vehicle in the commission of a felony involving an act or practice in connection with human trafficking, as defined under Federal Law. Tell me how this provision that you're adding in is consistent with the Black Caucus pillars that are trying to focus on restorative justice? And… or consistent with the ideas of you've actually got rehabilitation? And maybe your staffer would like to take the mic and explain."

"Thank you, Mr. Speaker. House Joint Resolution 76 deals with a gentleman by name of Trooper Albert Hasson. This House Joint Resolution designates U.S. Route 24 in the City of Chenoa as the 'Trooper Albert Hasson Memorial Highway'. It's important to remember those officers who lost their lives while upholding their oath to serve and protect. Trooper Hasson was the first, I repeat, the first Illinois State Police Officer to be killed in the line of duty. He was struck by a car while patrolling near the City of Chenoa, Central Illinois in McClean County, taken to the hospital in Pontiac where he died September 7, 1924. Trooper Hasson was a World War I veteran and a four-month veteran of the Illinois State Police at the time of his passing. Illinois State Police District 6 Headquarters named their training room after him in 2004. We are grateful for his service, and I ask, please, for an 'aye' vote."

Staff Sergeant Hollinsaid was a great American who gave his life for us in the war. He was a… an extremely dedicated man. His character carried through him in high school and was recognized by his teachers and by those on his staff at school of his abilities to lead. He was killed in action just days after his platoon sergeant was killed. He took over the platoon for a few days and was later killed. His specialty was IEDs, or improvised explosive devices. His specialty was being that first responder when IEDs were found and IEDs were discovered. It was him who went there to recover. He was a staff sergeant from the tiny Central Illinois town of Malden and is recognized on his page from a close friend of his that said, he had left several messages on the Hero Page. 'For years, I used to dial your number and hang up.'
