But, it would seem to me that before we get to a day care center, that the Leadership of this House, the Speaker of this House, ought to provide adequate facilities, restroom facilities for women Members of this House. Now, we've gone through one full year when there's been adequate space in this House to solve that problem, and we're moving into the second year. And the Speaker, who spoke so eloquently when he was in the Minority about the subject of equal rights for women, when he, as Speaker, doesn't seem to want to address that subject. I would suggest, Mr. Speaker, that you bring that up in your Leadership meetings and that you particularly ask the Sponsor of this Resolution to address that problem, if not to the Speaker, at least to Mr. LaPaille, who might be able to solve the problem. If he is as concerned as he tells us he is about equal rights for women, he can introduce an equal rights Resolution before this House. He can even introduce a Resolution having to do with facilities for women with respect to washrooms. But the question before us is House Resolution 597. He should have directed his remarks only at that Resolution.
