One is issued on the 28th of April, and the Department of Transportation says that we could lose 37 million dollars if we pass this Bill. And the next day... the Department of Transportation... opposed to it... The next day, they sort of filed a new thing, and they just con't mention the 37 million dollars that we could lose. And they say, 'What? We're neutral now.' I wonder if they fired the guy who wrote the first one. But clearly, if you want to lose 37 million dollars, we should, you know, give this Bill a real... we should pass it right to the Governor. But I think it's had a fair hearing, and we ought not to deal with it any longer. We should give it the same kind of Roll Call we've given all of her other fine pieces of legislation today."

I suppose that I've been more interested in getting highway dollars to build highways downstate than about anybody else in this General Assembly, and I've watched the process for a long time. On Tuesday, there will be a series of five meetings of coordinating Committees, which will be scheduled throughout the afternoon.
