Speaker Giglio

"The House will come to order. The chaplain for today is the Reverend Gary McCants, of the Bethel-African Methodist...Episcopal Church, in Kewanee, Illinois. All guests in the gallery may wish to rise for the invocation."

Reverend McCants

"May we bow our hearts? When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon, and the stars which You have set in place; what is man that You are mindful of him. The son of man that You care for him. You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings, and You crowned him with glory and honor. Oh, Lord, this day it is my prayer that You would continue to provide the necessary guidance to these men and women who serve so faithfully in this House, that You may grant them the wisdom that is necessary to do what is best, to do it for the most as they deem it advisable. May they be comforted in knowing that they made the decision that was the best one at this time. We ask that You may continue to give them strength and to be with their families as they are away from home. We ask for these, and many any other blessings in their dear Son's Speaker name. Amen."

Giglio

"We'll be led in the pray...prayer by Representative Wyvetter Younge."

Younge et al

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Speaker Giglio

"Roll Call for Attendance. Representative Kubik."

Kubik

"Thank you, Mr. Speaker. And it is my pleasure to say that the Republicans have no excused absences today. Representative Pedersen has come back to join us, and I think he needs to put his key in his switch so that we can officially get him back on board." 1 STATE OF ILLINOIS 88th GENERAL ASSEMBLY HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TRANSCRIPTION DEBATE 73rd Legislative Day

"Let the record so indicate. Mr. Clerk, on that, take the record. On the Quorum Call, there's 116 'present'. The House is ready to do its business. Representative Woolard, for what purpose do you rise, Sir?"

Woolard
