"I would like to request a moment of silence for Air Force Captain Brandon Cyr. Thank you. Twenty-eight year old Captain Brandon Cyr was killed, along with three other American airmen, in a crash this past Saturday in Afghanistan. And although Woodridge was listed as his hometown, he was a member of a military family and had lived in many places. He spent his childhood in Oswego and actually attended the same school that my children and my grandchildren attended. He was an instructor pilot, a member of the 906 Air Refueling Squadron at Scott Air Force Base. He had been in Afghanistan at three months when the weekend crash occurred. His commander said that he had had more than 1700 flying hours, and 900 of them were in combat. Stillbirths are caused by a number of known causes including birth defects, placental problems, poor fetal growth, infections, chronic health conditions of the mother, and umbilical cord accidents. Risk factors include a maternal mother with the age of over 35, maternal obesity, multiple gestation, and African-American ancestry. We are trying to get it from the Lake Front to Cicero. And this would be very important to those residents, students, seniors there, and it is a great public safety issue.
