And I'm so proud to serve as co-Chair of the Kidney Disease Task Force, where we've been holding hearings and talking to people, trying to better educate folks. And I just like to make that suggestion, Mr. President, in recognition of Kidney Management Day, today. Thank you.

It's with heavy heart that I stand here before the Assembly today. This past week, in my district and Senator Anderson's district, we share Schuyler County, Illinois. This county is less than seven-thousand people, but a school bus was involved in a horrific, tragic incident. It was the bus of the Schuyler Industry or the Rushville Industry School District, which encompasses all of Schuyler County and part of southern McDonough County, and a bus carrying three preschoolers and the bus driver, and a semi- truck driver involved in the incident hit head on and all perished. And these were all community members and two of the preschoolers, a three, five, and another three year old. The three and five year old were siblings. So, I ask that you keep this community and families involved in your thoughts and prayers. It's just an unexplainable tragedy. National Safety Commission is on site. First responders involved, fire, sheriff, all the community members. They had a vigil last night, which hopefully will start the healing process but please extend and -- and share prayers and thoughts for the healing that needs to happen for this community.
