Madam President, Members of the Senate, in the gallery with me today is SSC{sic} (SIC) Model Illinois Government. Model Illinois Government is a legislative simulation and moot court competition with college students from across the State. Filling the roles of legislator, lobbyist, journalist, attorney, judge, and party leadership positions. Southeastern Illinois College, in Harrisburg, has established itself as one of the top programs in the entire State, despite being the smallest school at the simulation in terms of enrollment. SSC{sic} (SIC) has secured the coveted Outstanding Delegation Award and has been the top finalist for the award every year since 2004. Southeastern Illinois College Model Illinois Government has won 14 championships and are competing this weekend for a three peat. Please join me in welcoming Southeastern Illinois College, Illinois -- Illinois Government team and their advisor, Matt Lees to the Capitol.
