Seeing no objection, leave is 3 STATE OF ILLINOIS 104th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 63rd Legislative Day 1/14/2026 granted. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a couple of reminders here. Friday, January 16th is the LRB deadline for drafting bills. Friday, February 6th is the bill-filing deadline. Please adhere to those dates and get your stuff in sooner than later. Thank you. Senator Castro, for what purpose do you seek recognition?

Cristina Castro (D)

Purpose of an introduction or an announcement.

Linda Holmes (D)

PRESIDING OFFICER: (SENATOR HOLMES) Your announcement.

Cristina Castro (D)

Thank you, Madam President. You know, we come to times where there's, like, a lot of our staff have come through here and learned and grown. And, I have a moment of a bittersweetness to announce today as my legislative assistant, Lacey Stauffer, will be moving on to bigger and better things. I am greatly appreciated for all the things she had done over the last few years -- What is it, five years? She started, at I think, the week after or the week before COVID started, and we completely shut down as a State. What a great way to start. But at the end of the day has been a true friend and has worked very diligently to make sure I'm prepared and clerked Exec and has grown into the role and is now on to bigger and better things in her next endeavor. So, I would ask the Chamber to congratulate her and give her a round of applause.

Linda Holmes (D)

PRESIDING OFFICER: (SENATOR HOLMES) Lacey, we wish you all the best. We will now proceed to the Order of Consent Calendar celebration of life resolutions. With leave of the Body, all those resolutions read in today will be added to the Consent Calendar. Mr. Secretary, have there been any 4 STATE OF ILLINOIS 104th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 63rd Legislative Day 1/14/2026 objections filed to any resolution on the Consent Calendar?

Neil Anderson (R)

No objections filed, Madam President.

Linda Holmes (D)

PRESIDING OFFICER: (SENATOR HOLMES) Is there any discussion? If not, the question is, shall the resolutions on the Consent Calendar be adopted? All those in favor say, Aye. Opposed, Nay. The Ayes have it, and the motion carries, and the resolutions are adopted. There being no further business to come before the Senate pursuant to House Joint Resolution 47, the Senate stands adjourned until Friday on the 3rd Day -- Ope! Stands adjourned until February on the 3rd Day, noon of 2028{sic}, (2026) till the call of the Senate. President, the Senate stands adjourned. 5
