Well, I kind of have to Wonder why in the first part of this bill we seem to be redshirting a kindergarten kid. Since -- since when are we going to start out here to let a child lay out for two years and then I assume this is probably going to be a star athlete and wepre going to be playing a twenty-year-old athlete. Is that what we're attempting to do?

No. What -- if you 'll notice, the -- the sentences dealing with the kindergarten go back to 1977. This is in order to describe the person wbo has been unfairly penalized because of an IHSA rule. You'll notice there that it said, ''attained the age of seven back in 1977.9' Right now that child is nineteen years old or -- or probably even twenty, but made normal progress but for a gap between his kindergarten and second year. And -- and that's the description if you read it from the beginnlng to the end .

Thank you, Mr. President. Just real quick 'cause I wanted to address that pointg also, inasmuch as the young man is from my district. When he was seven in -- in I think it was Mississippi, his father became He refused to send the kid to school. The only thing that's keeping the kid in school noW is -- is track. It's not a contact sport. The kid is not a tremendous athlete. No one's going to get hurt with this.
