And I think in fairnessp We a11 should recoqnize the fact that the bills that I am asking to be taken out from under the deadlines - that is Senate Bills 52, 53, 54, 395, 396 and 397 - are those bills that are sponsored by myself and Senator Philip: and they have to do with the subject of reapportionment - both the congressional and the leqislative and the Cook County judicial. I think itfs fair to say that We are simply unable to complete our work by this Friday, and so I have spoken with our Committee Chairman; Senator Philip has spoken with the minority spokespersonz and it's been decided that this is a better way to go. We'l1 give ourselves a little breathing room and be in a position to present to the -- to the committee and the full Senate at some later date - but no later than May 30 the opportunity to vote on the reapportionment as presented. So I would move that Rule -- Rule 5C be suspendéd for the purpose of allowing these bills to be reported and considered until May 30, 1991.
