Well, thank you, Mr. President. Ladies and Gentlemen of the Senate, it gives me great honor to introduce to you the Class A Girls Champions of the State of Illinois. They come from Carthage, Illinois, and they are called the Carthage Bluegirls. And I'd like to read to you a little bit from the resolution that we have passed on their behalf, and in the process I will be introducing the girls. And will each of you as say your name, Will you raise your hands? (Senator Donahue reqds SR 1102) May I present to you the coach - Biery.
(Remarks by Coach Richard Biery)
Needless to say, have to boast a little bit. Coming from western Illinois, we have a tradition of champions in basketball, and I think you all recognize that. To add the Carthage Bluegirls is a thrill. But also, we were able to receive for Augusta -- Augusta Southeastern reeeived the fourth place in the Class A Boys Championship. So we were also thrilled about that. And both those schools are in Hancock County. So bless this little county and little schools. What a great job they did, and a great recognition for western Illinois. Thank you for allowing us to be here: and God bless.
