We -- we just had a discussion in the in the Rules Committee meeting, and perhaps Senator Weaver could clarify for a11 of our Members here that, as of tomorrow, the deadline that's been established for reporting of bills from standing committees expires, and therefore, committee chairmen have to have filed and journalized, I guess, with the Secretary of the Senate and the Rules Committee for those bills that they wish to keep alive for remaining part of this Session or even for the -- for the summer. And I am curious as to What procedure, and if that's accurate, and what procedure wedre going to be operating under as of tomorrow?

Senator Demuzio, the Rules Committee will consider exceptions tomorrow, but as a courtesy to the Minority, I'm asking that every committee chairman find out or get a letter to the Rules Committee asking for those exceptions. Just so everyone who wants to keep a bill in the committee for possible hearings later on, we need to act on it tomorrow . We need to file with the Secretary tomorrow a list of those bills. Well as a matter of clarification then, as of the deadline expiring tomorrow that a11 bills that do not have an exenption that's been filed and journalized and approved by the Rules Committee, then a11 of those bids -- all of those bills are then automatically referred to the Rules Committee; they are no lonqer under the jurisdiction or the domain of the standing committee from which they were assigned.
