The Leadership will be staying down in Springfield with the budgeteers - that's the four Leaders and the budgeteers - to try to work out l our problems on the budget and various other problems, but we'll i be here Saturday and Sunday. I would suggest that the Members i : call thelr legislatlve offices Monday mornlng, here in Springfield, at 10 a.m. to find out -- you know, who knows What's going to happen this weekend? We might have accomplished ! something , have some kind of a loose agreement. If We -- if we do , I would assume We Would come in at 4 o 'clock ; if not z We might just tell you to come in Tuesday. So, What's the old saying? ''Hang loose.'' And Monday Would be a perfunct, so nobody would have an absen*ee mark . If we do come to a conclusion with something that's reasonable, We -- we Would -- we would have you call your offlce on Monday morning, and we would say, ''Heyr come in at -- at : 4:00 o'clock; We 're going to do something and -- and get this thing over with.'' If nat, we would prcbably say, ''You know, we're not closed'. You know. ''We 'll probably come in some time on Tuesday.'' So Monday Would be a perfunctory. Senator Demuzio. 1
