Yes. Mr. Presidenty in the past and usually every year I have trled at least once to bring scme af the baked goods of my dlstrict back here for everyone. Those include these Wonderful i little Czechoslovakian kolacky. Well, today we have a special i treat, in that one of our lobbyist friends, Alice Phillips, said . that if I won the Treasurer's racer she would bake enough homemade ! kolacky for the entire Senate. So today we have this absolutely huge, humongous box that weighs a gazillion pounds, and it's a1l of Alice Phyllis' <sic> homemade kolacky. And I hope you Will a1l enjoy it and dutifully put on weight because of it, 'cause food is love. Thanks so much.

Thank you, Mr. President. It's our pleasure today in the 1 Illinois Senate to have a group of young men with us who won the i / Class A State High School Golf Championship. We have also with us I their coachz Bill Pieper. And except for you who are in your first term, youfll remember Coach Pieper because his golf teams have won State titles seven out of the last ten years, including ! six in a row a few years ago, and thls year they're back havlng won the State golf title again. Coaeh Pieper is going to go out on top and retire as the golf coach this year, but there are at least three underclassmen in this group, so I suspect we might see them back here next year anyway. The Governor recommended deletion of some cf the exemptlons for the TIFs which were ln the plannlng stages, as evidenced by an ordinance showlng intent or by planning studies when Public Act 88-537 became effective. The ( exemptions would have allowed some of the TIFs to get around the requlrement that they prove a lack of private investment in the area , and that they consider the service demands on local taxing districts.
