Yeah . Thank youy Madan President. I rise ln opposltion to the appointment of Lee Walker to the Illinols Community College Board. At a time when we are trying to provlde opportunities for a1l our citizens in Illinoisr we need -- we need not have a person on that Board who is in opposition to the advancement of people, be they women, be they minoritiesr and -- in employnent and job opportunities ln the State of Illinois. Lee Walker does not represent the best interests of the -- many of those persons who will attend community eolleges in the State of Illinois. His vkews are such that it would impede the proqress of these persons, minorities and women, in community colleges throughout the State of Illinois. It is a ill-advised appointment by the Governor.
