Representative Connie Howard, the House sponsor, noticed that no one had signed on to sponsor the bill until this week. I was asked if I would pick up the bill and make sure that it has a hearing. Because of our deadline on Friday for hearing bills in Senate committees, I thought moving to waive the posting requirements would be a preferable substitute to extending the deadline for hearing in committee.
