Mason is here today with me because he -- I'm honoring 11 STATE OF ILLINOIS 98th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 46th Legislative Day 5/7/2013 him because he won the State Wrestling Championship for eighth grade. Yes, he's taller than me and he's in eighth grade. But he -- at a hundred and fifty-five pounds, he won his championship match seven to two. Also followed with a very good showing at the Top Dawgs Tournament. He's going to play football. He's also -- he's also a good student. So he's -- he's got his priorities right. And, you know, Senator Cullerton passed a resolution that we encourage the Olympics to keep wrestling there. I think this is a good example of what the sport of wrestling produces - a fine young athlete and student as well. So, welcome his parents, Debbie and Wade, in the gallery to my right, and Mason today. Thank you.

Senate {sic} Bill 1589 provides that a supplier shall permanently fix {sic} (affix) its name or a distinctive logo or other mark or other design element identifying the manufacturer or supplier to 27 STATE OF ILLINOIS 98th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 46th Legislative Day 5/7/2013 all its equipment, devices, and supplies for gambling operations. Provides an exception for gaming chips without a value impressed, engraved, or imprinted on it. Allows the Board to waive the requirement for any specific product or products if it's determined that the requirement is not necessary to protect the integrity of the game. Provides that items purchased from a licensed supplier may continue to be used even though the supplier subsequently changes its name, distinct logo, or other mark or other design element; undergoes a change in ownership; or ceases to be licensed as a supplier for any reason. I would have -- I know of no opposition. I would ask for your favorable vote.
