Thank you, Mr. President. I'd like to introduce a very special guest who is with me today. Miss Gloria Davis is retiring in a few days as Superintendent of Decatur Public Schools, after 4 STATE OF ILLINOIS 98th GENERAL ASSEMBLY REGULAR SESSION SENATE TRANSCRIPT 96th Legislative Day 3/19/2014 seven years of service to the district. And she's worked hard as an educator for -- for over four decades in service to kids and to education. She served in elementary and secondary education as a teacher, as a principal, as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction in University City, Missouri, for nearly three decades. In addition, she was Superintendent in Dodge City public schools in Dodge City, Kansas, for about five years. I got to know her several years ago and there is no better advocate for public schools in this State than Gloria. And I invited her here today to express my appreciation for what she has done for not just the Decatur community, but advancing education issues in this State. So I rise, Mr. President, just to give her a warm welcome and thank her for her service. Thank you.

It's this evening at the Brickhouse from -- starting at 5 p.m., going till around 9 or 10 or whenever. The twelfth annual Sullivan Caucus. It's always a good time. Our charity -- we always donate the money raised. We always take up a collection. This evening's donation is going to go to the Honor Flight. So we always try to pick out a good cause and that's something that we feel is a good cause. So, Sullivan Caucus St. Patrick's Day Celebration this evening at the Brickhouse, starting at 5 o’clock.
