This is modeled after a hotline that was created in the State of New Mexico. It's kept tens of thousands of people in that state out of emergency rooms and saved the state more than sixty-eight million dollars in healthcare expenses. It's been so successful that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended that it serve as a model for other states to create a similar nurse's hotline. This resolution will simple -- simply create a task force here in the State of Illinois to discuss whether this would be a -- a viable plan for the State of Illinois.
