And in light of the catastrophe that's happened in Fort McMurray in Canada where we are importing vast amounts of crude oil, much of which is actually processed at the Citgo refinery, Citgo may call upon us to provide them with some additional support in light of that catastrophe in Fort McMurray. He served on the force for 3 years and was assigned to District 2 in Elgin and a former Military Police officer. His 27-year life was cut way too short, when he was working a roadblock to subdue a parole violator who led police on a high speed chase where he was struck and killed by the suspect on November 10, 1986. After his passing, he was posthumously promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Today to honor him also with us today is his father, Bill Kugelman and members from the Fraternal Order of Police. And they're here with us in the gallery, up above. And in his memory, there is something special we, as a General Assembly, can do. We can't run the program without their cooperation. And third, it also says that small employers can join the program if they want to. "Members, I would like to draw attention to the City of Aurora that suffered two deaths this past week. And if you could all join me in acknowledging them. Most profound, the City of Aurora lost firefighter and paramedic Michael Adamova… Adamovich. He was only 38. He died suddenly on Sunday. He was a six-year veteran of the Aurora Fire Department, and he did work out of Engine 10 in Aurora. And he is survived by his wife and his two small children. And then also, the City of Aurora is mourning the passing of former Aurora Police Chief Robert Brent. He was only 77 years old and he passed away last Thursday. Chief Brent had a 28- year career with the Aurora Police Department and he spent the last 12 as Chief. And he is survived by his wife of 55 years and his adult children and grandchildren. And I just wanted to ask that the Body acknowledge and join in mourning the City of Aurora and for a moment of silence."
