One of those two millions having been accommodated in Amendment No. this would then transfer from a yet-to-be-activated loan program and a mîlllon dollar surplus, and use it to fund the shortfall in the Monetary Award Program. With a1l due respect to the Marian Catholic Hiqh School and to Senator DeAngelis, I rise in strong opposition to this amendment. The Department of Commerce and Community Affairs has tourism promotion dollars. If they thought it was that importank, they could have used those for this. We have long gotten out of the business of funding bands to various locations, particularly at a time when pharmacies are closing, hospitals are going unpaid, and nursing homes are about to close as well. I do not believe that we have the funds, truly, to do this, even though it's such a small amount, and Would urge opposition to it.
